Rudy Lavecchia is a high school baseball prospect from Weston, Florida who plays the outfield for Cypress Bay High School. Rudy Lavecchia, known as a line drive hitter, helped Cypress Bay defeat Taravella 6-3 in the class 6A regional quarterfinals in June of last year by hitting a home run in the fifth inning that tied the game. Rudy Lavecchia finished the game 3 for 3 with with three runs batted in and scored twice. He is part of the 2010 graduating class, and as yet has not committed to any college. Rudy Lavecchia shares his birth date with perhaps the most infamous day in American history, being born on September 11, 1992.

For the first time since 1993 both number one teams from the NFC and AFC have made it to the Super Bowl. The Indianapolis Colts were able to comeback from an 11-point deficit to win the game 30-17 despite stars Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark being shut out of the game. The New Orleans Saints were able to take down the Minnesota Vikings on a 40-yard field goal in overtime for a final score of 38-21. The Vikings had their chances to win but to many turnovers cost them the game. This years Super Bowl XLIV is looking like a high-powered event that features two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today. The game will be held at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium on Feb 7 6:25 pm.
