High cholesterol is not a condition that dooms you to a life of illness and tragedy. In fact, getting a diagnosis of high cholesterol can be exactly what some people need to jumpstart their plan of healthy living – sort of like a warning call. Because it’s true… if you do nothing about your high cholesterol, you’ll likely develop heart disease. But if you take action, you can easily overcome this.
Here’s how:
First, speak with your doctor, nutritionist, medical staff at your online pharmacy about a good weight loss plan. If you are very overweight or obese, he or she may suggest that you consider taking a safe diet pill (Generic Xenical is a good one to try.)
Next, restock your fridge and learn how to go grocery shopping wisely. By having the right foods in your house, you’ll be a lot less likely to splurge or snack mindlessly on junk food, which as we all know is NOT good for lowering high cholesterol. Instead, stock up on whole fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and foods that are rich in soluble fiber. Also, acquaint yourself with what are known as “health fats,” things like nuts and avocados, that can lower LDL cholesterol and raise HDL cholesterol.
You’ll also want to start exercising on a regular basis. Not an occasional walk around the block and not buying a gym membership that you’ll only use twice. But real exercise, everyday. You don’t need to run a marathon, but you do need to get that body moving and that heart rate pumping. Try adding exercise to your lifestyle by taking the stairs instead of an elevator or walking to work instead of driving. The best way to begin exercising is to simply embrace an active lifestyle.
