Television has always been a vehicle for selling products and services. In the beginning, and for almost all of its history, this “selling” was done by commercials. It was not uncommon to see TV stars take a break from the show to hold up a product and say a few promotional words about it.

Pesticides. What are they exactly? Is it necessary to use pesticides to keep our crops free from infestation? How do organic farmers keep their crops safe from bugs and insects without the use of pesticides? We know that pesticides are harmful but we still have many detailed questions because the actual risks of consuming pesticides aren’t necessarily advertised at your local grocery store. Ask most subscribers to Satellite programming providers what they think of the services they receive and the answer is almost always the same: “I like them.”
It’s no wonder that they enjoy the services. As is probably true for subscribers to Cable TV and for Direct TV, as well, Satellite TV (or Dish Network) subscribers enjoy access to virtually unlimited programming options. It wasn’t always that way, of course.
